Jerome Ramirez is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane and conducts research on the systems of bioproduction of food, fuel and materials in the Bioeconomy. His work involves technoeconomics, life cycle assessments, and supply chain modelling of bioproducts. Apart from academic research he teaches chemical engineering process modelling at QUT and convenes a multinational Process Modelling Community of Practice group, which facilitates knowledge sharing and collaboration. Prior to his academic career, he worked in the Philippines geothermal industry in safety and environmental management.
