Cristian Pérez Hernández is a passionate Chemical and Environmental Engineer. Currently pursuing a PhD in Bioscience Engineering, his research focuses on the circularity of bio-based systems, aiming to merge the benefits of the circular economy with the sustainability needs of future generations. He works for Ghent University at the Sustainable Systems Engineering Department.

Throughout his career, Cristian has gained experience across various sectors, including wastewater treatment industry, EU institutions, and academia. He is also an active participant in the European Bioeconomy. Cristian's passion lies in measuring and fostering positive changes in the world.
