Eduardo J. Trigo, PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Wisconsin, is Professor of Bioeconomy at the Food and Agribusiness Centre of the Universidad Austral, Argentina, and Advisor of the Technical Cooperation Directorate, of the Interamerican Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, IICA. In the past he has been consultant e.g. to the European Union, the Interamerican Development Bank, (IADB), the World Bank, the Stockholm Environment Institute, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). He specializes in policy, organization and management of science, technology and innovation in agriculture and natural resources, with special emphasis in issues related to biotechnology and the bioeconomy.
