Monique Axelos is the Scientific director for Food and Bioeconomy at INRA. At the European level, she coordinates the strategic working group on “Food systems” of the Standing committee on Agriculture Research (SCAR).Between 2008-2016, she was the head of the Science and Engineering of Agricultural Products division. During this period, she was also the coordinator of the European project DREAM, which aims in developing food models to facilitate a common approach to risk assessment and nutritional quality for food research and industry. Monique Axelos holds a doctoral degree in Physics. She has conducted research at INRA at the interface between physics and biology.
