Johann is a dedicated advocate for bioeconomy and bioentrepreneurship, driving sustainable biotech innovations at BioHalo, a startup based in Copenhagen. As a biotech business developer there, he pioneers advanced bio-based polymers to disrupt the coatings and film industry by commercializing eco-friendly alternatives to PFAS.

Serving as a Bioeconomy Youth Champion with the International Advisory Council on Global Bioeconomy (IACGB), Johann advocates for the inclusion of young professionals in the strategy development process for the bioeconomy and promotes a sustainable bioeconomy in general. He is also an advisory board member of VBiO e.V., advancing the German life science ecosystem.
